比爾‧蓋茲是美國最富有的人，他的住所的奢華程度也令人驚嘆。印度《印度時報》刊文介紹了位於華盛頓州的蓋茲豪宅。

根據環球網據報導，蓋茲用了7年時間建造他的莊園『世外桃源2.0』。該莊園至少價值1.23億美元，每年需為此支付的財產稅高達100萬美元。建造該豪宅的木材是500年的冷杉樹，施工期間動用了300名建築工人。

豪宅內設感測器系統，客人在進入屋內時將自己的偏好輸入系統，之後無論他行走到哪個房間，系統都會為他自動調節溫度和照明，房間裡隱藏的喇叭也開始播放音樂。莊園內的大廳能同時接待多達200名客人，另有24個浴室，6個廚房，還有一個能停放23 輛汽車的車庫。園內蓋茲最喜歡的一棵樹，有電腦24小時對它進行監測，一旦發現它需要澆水，就由機器自動完成。

莊園的小河裡養著多種魚類，而沙灘的沙子也全部從加勒比地區進口。這麼豪華的莊園自然會吸引不少人的興趣，一些人為參觀這個莊園甚至支付了3.5萬美元。
