台北市長柯文哲昨南下參加凱校國策顧問班第10期同學會說，同期的同學都當選公職了，唯一只有蔡易餘還沒當選。再度出征參選嘉義立委的蔡易餘今（16）日受訪表示，希望繼續打拚，「替嘉義海線討回公道」。

蔡易餘表示，嘉義縣海區缺乏中央奧援，地方資源有限，許多重大建設、交通水利發展停頓，上次輸給國民黨對手翁重鈞895票，這次他有信心要把這一區贏回來。

與蔡易餘凱校同期的除了柯文哲，還有北港鎮長張勝智、台北市議員張茂楠、新北市議員鍾宏仁、新北市議員江永昌。

蔡易餘要先通過黨內初選的考驗，對手是前立委林國慶。國民黨這區要派誰應戰，立委翁重鈞是否繼續在地參選，外傳不分區立委吳育仁也積極耕耘，目前狀況尚未明朗。
