保安警察第五總隊小隊長李欣昇疑似因北上支援學運勤務19天，過度疲勞導致血管瘤破裂，陷入昏睡，由於他平常有運動健身的習慣，因此當消息傳回總隊後，同仁及上司都感到震驚及擔心。

根據《蘋果日報》報導，李欣昇8日清晨結束勤務後返家休息即陷入昏睡，甚至不知自己已昏睡三天，還向家人說，「我才剛下班休息，怎麼這麼快又要上班？」也讓同為警察的弟弟李安訓驚覺哥哥可能中風，緊急送醫急救。

李欣昇經斷層掃描後確定是腦部血管破裂，目前已住進加護病房，家屬準備在14日將他轉送到台北榮總開刀治療。
