放棄一段來回機票的可行性

各位好
請問一下機票達人們
我們預計兩個月的時間玩秘魯和智利
由台灣飛洛杉磯進出利馬
目前想法是利馬玩到聖地牙哥
然後聖地牙哥飛復活島(來回)
再從聖地牙哥飛利馬(來回票)
因為買來回比較便宜，票價差很多
是不是可不用擔心被罰錢？
因為回程的日期訂在返台後的話
我們早已離開利馬了

本來也有考慮：
1.利馬直接飛復活節島
回程放棄回利馬的票
從聖地牙哥往上玩回秘魯
但因為夥伴在加拿大辦智利簽證不易
再加上怕簽證有時效性而作罷
2.同樣買利馬飛復活節島來回票
但由北往南玩，回去才飛利馬

想請問這些天真的想法是可行的嗎？
麻煩賜教，怕最後反而因小失大
