國王Felix Hernandez強投7局，Logan Morrison雙響砲，紅襪12比3慘遭痛電，水手贏得四連勝，紅襪近5場比賽則輸了4場。

水手終於給了Felix Hernandez火力支援，他也順利拿下自六月2日以來的首勝，戰績來到9勝2敗。

在之前的3次先發，隊友總共只幫他打了1分，這場比賽一開始水手也落後，分別在第一局被老爹David Ortiz打進1分，第四局又被Mike Napoli擊出陽春砲。 

不過水手在第四局連下六城，整個把分數拉開。

紅襪先發John Lackey前3局還好，只用了36個球，但第四局投了38球，只製造了兩個出局數，他今天只投了3.2局，就被打了7支安打，這也是他自2011年九月以來，先發最短的局數，個人連續39場先發，至少投滿5局的紀錄也中止。

Felix Hernandez則是連續8場先發，至少投7局，每場的責失都在 2分以下，創下新的球隊紀錄，今天他投出6次三振，沒有任何保送。
